How to Add Hindi and Hinglish Captions to Videos Automatically
Generate Hindi captions in Devanagari, switch to Hinglish (Roman letters), or translate to English — without any of it being forced through translation.

Many creators speak Hindi or a Hindi–English mix, and their audience reads it in different ways: some prefer देवनागरी, many prefer Roman letters (Hinglish), others want English. Cutlab lets you choose without re-recording or re-transcribing.
Step by step
- Open the editor, add your video and go to Captions.
- Set Spoken language to Hindi.
- Under Caption text choose Original (Devanagari), Hinglish (Roman) or English (translation).
- Use the Accurate setting for best Hindi results, then press Generate captions.
What each option does
- Original: the exact words, in Devanagari. Nothing is translated.
- Hinglish: the same words written in Roman letters — “aaj hum seekhenge…”. Common English loan-words such as video or subscribe are written the English way.
- English: the speech translated into English captions.
Switching between Original and Hinglish is instant because both come from the same transcript; English requires generating again.
Tips for better accuracy
- Record in a quiet room and speak at a normal pace.
- Use the Accurate model; it is larger but far better for Hindi.
- Proofread names and English words, which are the most common errors.
- Hinglish spelling is not standardised, so adjust any words you prefer to spell differently.
