FAQ
Questions, answered
Which languages are supported?
Over 35, including English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Urdu, Arabic, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
Can it write Hindi captions without translating to English?
Yes. Choose Original to get the speech in Devanagari, or Hinglish to see the same words in Roman letters. Nothing is translated unless you pick English.
How accurate are the captions?
The Accurate setting gives the best results for non-English speech. Clear audio with little background noise is transcribed best, and every caption can be edited by hand.
Is my audio sent to a server?
No. The AI model is downloaded once and then runs entirely in your browser.
